Wardrobe Staples That Will Get You Through The Winter!
As the temperatures drop lower and lower, everyone is forced to accept that summer is being left behind and winter weather is right around the corner.

No matter what you do, you have to go outside at some point, even if it is just to walk to and from your car. As a result, you must have cold weather clothing to protect yourself. What items do you need to make it through the winter? The following pieces will keep you warm and dry this season.

There are several essential pieces. These need to be in your closet this time of the year. Boots, gloves, jeans and jackets all make the list. The following items are quite popular choices.

1. Cotton Quilt Organic Snap-T Pullover by Patagonia

So many people love Patagonia, and it is clear why. This sweater is an incredible piece that makes a statement in anyone’s wardrobe. Not only is it warm, but it is soft as well. You can dress it up or dress it down, and it is a great staple to wear no matter what you are planning to do. You can use the collar to keep your neck warm, but if you decide you don’t need that, simply unbutton it. In addition, if the weather is bad, you can count on the water repellent finish to protect you throughout the day.

2. Crewneck Sweatshirt by Madewell

This very durable item is perfect to put on over a t-shirt or a lighter piece of clothing. Because it is constructed from French terry cloth, it feels wonderful on the skin. Like the previous item, it can be dressed up or dressed down. You can wear it around the house or wear it to work. Because it is also a flexible piece, it looks great with just about any outfit that you have on.  It is also great for keeping your plus size panty girdle hidden.

3. Thermal Scoop Neck Top by 32 Degrees

There is no reason why you shouldn’t pick up a few of these tops! They look great by themselves or with a little layering. The fabric is soft and isn’t too loose; it helps you stay warm when it is cold outside. Best of all, these shirts keep their shape over time!

4. Heavy Humbug Stripe Scarf by Topshop

I love blanket scarves. I look forward to the winter just so I have an excuse to get mine out again! If the weather is going to be particularly cold, this is an excellent piece to add on top of what you are already wearing. It can also dress up an otherwise plain outfit.

5. Hooded Packable Jacket by Michael Kors

I came from an area that had relatively warm winters, so when I found myself in New York, I wasn’t sure what to do at first. I didn’t have any clothing meant to protect me when the weather got particularly cold! This jacket, though, was already in my wardrobe. It saved me during that first winter. It isn’t very bulky, so I didn’t think it was going to do much for me. However, you’d be surprised at how warm it is! I wouldn’t choose it for my outerwear if I was going to be outside for extended periods of time, but it does hold up well in the short term.

6. Sports Touchscreen Unisex Gloves by Agloves

Everyone needs a good pair of gloves. Given these as a gift, and they quickly became my favorite pair that I own. They aren’t necessarily warm, but I can use my fingers to operate my phone when I have them on. Because I’m usually trying to multi-task, they come in quite handy over time! In addition, they provide just enough protection to keep your hands from freezing.
